15 Months

^^^Reaching for me^^^

I felt like it was time to do a update on this growing girl.
It's the same as always, I can't believe she's a month older!
She's still a complete joy and we seriously felt like we hit the jackpot
because she is always happy!
Given she's a little tiny bit (A LOT) spoiled.
She has everybody wrapped around her cute thing fingers.

We are oh so thankful that even though she's a toddler she's still happy.
She recently just started throwing fits, but they are few and far between.
Plus they can be stopped pretty quickly. Just pick her up and she smiles at you.
That was definitely not the case with the other two!
While her happiness has remained lots has changed here for this girl!
The biggest change is the fact that she is no longer nursing at all.
I had thought about weaning her and of course she was nursing less,
but she would ask for it and I'd just let her because why not? It wasn't hurting anything.
Her asking was about the sweetest thing.
She would hit my chest with her hands and say, "Ah!"
I would ask her, "You want to nurse?"
She would get the BIGGEST grin on her face and say "Yesssthhh!"
Then one night when I tried to nurse her she pushed me away.
I didn't expect her to be done just like that!
She asked a few times after that, but I would say "all gone"
and she'd throw her head back with a little "UH!" and then move on.
I know I could have nursed her doing those times,
but I figured since she wasn't really pushing for it.
we could just be done with it.
It was a bittersweet thing to say goodbye too.

^^^ You not hold me? Fine, I suck my thumb!"

Of course, since she's not nursing she's eating a ton more.
Actually, the girl has always had an appetite even while nursing.
If she hears or sees you getting food she will run to you with her hand out.
She also likes to grab bags of plantain chips and carry them around.
Even if she's eaten a ton and you put her down,
she'll find food (that she or her siblings have dropped) and eat it.
She's our little garbage disposal ;) and if she's hungry you can find her
by her chair tapping it to let you know!
She just loves food and there isn't much she won't eat.
However, her favorites are sweet potatoes, frozen blueberries, and bananas.
She also prefers water or apple juice (watered down) to drink.
She doesn't seem to be such a huge fan of milk.

She walks and runs everywhere and is always climbing stairs to come find me.
If I go to pick her up from the steps she gets so excited and holds her arms out.
She'd walk off the step if I didn't pick her up first! Silly girl!
She comes and finds me multiples times a day, running to me, arms wide open to be held.
She doesn't really cry about wanting to be held, but just comes to me.
She'll wrap her little arms around my leg, crawl into my lap,
or throw her arms around my neck.
I'm glad she still wants me that much! She loves to say, "MA! MA!" when she wants me.
However, I'm not the only one she wants anymore.
Of course she wants her daddy, but she'll reach for her brother and sister too.
She likes to put her face to theirs and hug them. She just laughs and laughs.
She'll even go to her grandparents now, whereas for the longest time she just cried if they held her!
She's growing up!

She also likes playing with her siblings.
They build with blocks together or play trains.
She LOVES to read and will have you read the same book over and over.
She comes running at you with books. It's adorable.
She's still a lover of music. I think she's like Taylor Swift the most
and I'm pretty sure she's tried to sing the ABC's along with her siblings.
She talks some - yes, mama, dada, hi, bye.
I'm sure there's more and I need to get better about writing her words down.

She sleeps great at night, but sometimes goes on strikes when it comes to nap time.
Eventually she'll rest though. Just needs some extra loving.
We're all so thankful for her and how she brings joy to our home!

^^^ Getting upset because she just wanted to be done^^^
^^^And then happy and totally posing!^^^
Happy 15 months sweetie!

12 months

Sutton is one today! Happy Birthday sweet girl!

To say this has been the fastest year of my life is an understatement!
With every child the year seems to go quicker and it kind of freaks me out
how fast life flies by once you welcome children into the world!
I think it also went faster because she is such a happy baby (TODDLER- OH MY).

This past month has brought lots of changes for this girl!

Stats
She's over twenty pounds and definitely seems longer when I look at these pictures.
At her last appointment her doctor said she seemed to be shorter than she should be.
I was kind of confused by it, but she said they may do some tests.
I think she's just fine and looks longer in these pics. I think it's the jeans!

Likes
Eating ALL the time!
Crawling AND walking!!!
Being held and not just by mama. She actually reaches for daddy now.
She enjoys giving hugs and it's about the cutest thing ever.
Talking and talking and talking.
Just this morning I heard her say, "Bye dad!"
I'm pretty sure she said "eat" last night when I asked her if she wanted to eat.
She says mama now too and so well.
I'm sure she's saying more and I need to get better at remembering.
She talks a lot more than the others did at her age and we are very impressed!

Dislikes
Being put down for too long.
She's still super snuggly and will be at your feet crying if she wants you.
When you take things away from her. She does any angry cry.
Waiting for food. Give me it now!
Bed time. She totally knows when its time for bed and starts to cry.
Bath time. I think she's just reaching that stage where she's freaking out.

How's she eating?
She loves to eat and throw her food on the floor. That is definitely new!
She eats multiple meals and snacks a day.
She nurses maybe 4 times a day, some times more.
It can be a comfort thing often.

How's she sleeping?
Girl only takes one nap during the day! Usually from 1-3.
She's started going to bed early now (around 7) and sleeps through the night mostly.
We recently put her in the room with Mae, which went really well.
I was afraid it was going to be a train wreck, but it's been such an easy transition.
They often talk to each other until they go to sleep. Or cry together... ha ha
Sometimes Mae wakes her, but it hasn't been awful or anything!
We're happy with how it went and I love that they share a room.

Other things
She's walking!
I knew it was soon, but it still totally shocked us.
I was standing in the hall way talking to my husband
and she was standing a few inches from me.
I look down and saw her take a few steps.
She was pretty excited and we all cheered her on.
Whenever she's walking to you, she'll walk until she's a step or so from you
then she'll fall into you.
It's about the cutest thing ever!

As you can see lots has happened in the last month.
Lots of transitioning and growing!
It's been fun and exciting to see, but also a little sad because it happened so fast.
It's such a bittersweet feeling to see your babies grow.

11 Months

There is no way this girl is going to be a year old is just a month!
It is not allowed! Nope, nope, nope!!!
With my other kiddos time went fast, but with this girl...so much faster!
She's still such a delight and I pray that she's always that way.
She'll be what she'll be though and we'll love her none-the-less.
She's just such an easy baby!

Stats:
She's 20 pounds and that's all I know for sure!
She's heavy and long for sure!

Likes:
Eating anything and everything. Girl can eat!
Music. She starts dancing and it's about the cutest thing ever.
She loves Taylor Swift's Shake It Off. She starts swaying and throwing her hands up.
Crawling up the steps. She crawls up all of them
and if you say her name she starts going faster and giggling. Adorable.
Toys that make noise.
Seeing her siblings in the morning. She is so happy to see them!
Being held by mama and daddy now too! She'll reach for him now!
Chewing on everything.
Standing up without pulling herself up! She is so close to walking!
She can walk if you hold her hands, but gets confused if you let go.
She'll just fall forward.

Dislikes:
Not being held for too long.
Being put down to go night night.
Having a full diaper. Just change me now!
Waiting to be fed.
Being held when she's so sleepy. Then she just wants to be in her pack'n play.
Other people holding her other than mom and dad. She kind of freaks out.
Especially if she can see mom and someone else has her!

How's she eating?
She still nurses a lot and I have no intention of stopping just yet.
The longest I've ever nursed a baby was 13 months, so we'll see how long she wants to go.
I'm sure some people will have a few things to say about that! :P
She eats lots a day - multiple snacks and three meals.
She still loves her sweet potatoes and pancakes a lot.
She also enjoys lots of fruit - bananas and blue berries the most!
She just shoves em in her mouth!
She eats peanut butter and jelly as well and loves mac'n cheese.
Such a good eater and will pretty much eat whatever you give her.
Loves to drink water too and refuses to put her food down to do so.
Often she has food in both hands and picks up her zippy cup with her wrists.
It's so cute! Glad she loves to drink water so much!

How's she sleeping?
She's been sleeping so well lately (except the night she wasn't feeling well).
She tends to still stay up later than I would like, but not past our bed time or anything.
She cries for a bit when we put her down, but is usually okay once she finds her thumb!
She sleeps through the night and usually ends up sleeping til around 10am.
She takes one afternoon nap and then usually a short one in the evenings too.
A good sleeper! Nothing I can complain about really!

Other things:
Poor girl hasn't been feeling well.
I think she may have picked something up on Christmas.
She had a fever of 101 to 103 for a day, then it went away, and came back.
She was so warm and I felt awful for her!
She really is never sad and rarely cries, but it's all she did!
I nursed her pretty much all night and got very little sleep.
I'm not sure what was wrong, but she seems to be better now.
Her fever is gone, but I think maybe she still doesn't feel 100% now.
She may be getting teeth though, so maybe that's why she's being a bit fussy now.
She's still super easy to take care of, even sick. Really just wants to be held.
Did I tell you she's said her first words? I'm pretty sure her first word ever was "HI".
She also says "DADA" and possibly "MAMA",
but I think that's only when she's really upset.
I couldn't really tell if she was actually saying my name or if it was an accident.
She's so cute and as sad as I am that she's growing so fast,
I do look forward to celebrating her in a month!

10 Months

I'm reminding myself to breathe as I look at pictures of this girl.
In two very short months she will turn 1 year old. I seriously want to cry my eyes out.
How is this possible? She's going from a baby to a toddler far too quickly!
I almost cannot handle it, but I will because what other choice do I have?!
It's been a joy to see her grow and I look forward to seeing how
she grows and changes just before she's no longer a baby!

STATS:
I just weighed her and she's 19.2 pounds.
So crazy to me that she's so big because of Maeva is only 25 pounds and she's 2!
She definitely is heavy! Otherwise I don't really know how long she is or anything.

LIKES:
Eating!!!
Pulling herself up on everything.
Standing up as long as she can.
Playing with her siblings.
Being held.
When I tickle her. She laughs before I even start.
Chewing on things.
Getting into stuff.

DISLIKES:
Being put to bed when she doesn't want to go to bed!
Seeing mom, but not being held by mom. You're there! Why aren't you holding me?!
Bath time. She doesn't cry really, but tries to get out, it seems right after I put her in.
I think it's a stage all my kids have gone through!
Being knocked over or picked on by her siblings! :/
Her carseat, if she's in it longer than she wants.
Things being taken away from her.
I don't think too much has changed here!

How's she eating?
She loves to eat! Always willing to nurse or be put in her chair to eat!
She wakes up to eat, I'm sure of it!
We make dinner pretty late for ourselves and if she's asleep when we cook,
she wakes up when she smells it! She refuses to go back to bed til you give her the food!
She loves sweet potatoes and pancakes. She'll pretty much eat whatever you give her!
She will yell at you if she sees something she wants.
She also wants her sippy cup of water at every meal and drinks so well!

How's she sleeping?
Like a pro.
She's sleeps through the night, usually going down pretty late.
She'll wake up before 8:30 and then take a nap around 11am.
She's usually awake for a while after that.
Sometimes she takes an afternoon nap
and then goes back to sleep around 6 or so until she wakes up because she smells food!

Other things:
She can stand up on her own.
She'll pull herself up on whatever she can and let go.
She stands for a good amount of time before falling on her bottom.
I know she wants to walk, but just doesn't get how to do so if you aren't helping her!
She's been pretty fussy the last few days.
I think she's getting more teeth (she has 6 now) and just wants to be held.
It's been a bit hard on me because I'm just not used to her being fussy!
She's still the happiest and we are so thankful for that!

Now slow down baby girl! You're not aloud to turn 1! ;)

Nine months

Well, she's officially been in this world as long as she was growing in my belly!
So crazy to think in a few shorts months she will be a year old! #mamasnotready #holdme
I'm still feeling pretty lucky with this sweet girl, because she's so easy to deal with!
The other two were harder, but I've learned a thing or two!
Plus she kind of gets babied more than the other two did. Just don't tell them! ;)

This last month she's grown and changed so much! It's been an exciting time!

STATS:
I'm unsure. I had to reschedule her 9 month appointment
and they can't get her in until right before she turns one!?!
That seemed insane to me.
She feels heavier and longer, as she should.
Definitely isn't hurting for food or anything!

Likes:
Crawling all over the place. She's always on the move!
She also enjoys pulling herself up on everything - stairs, the fire place, cases of water, me.
She pretty much pulls herself up on whatever she can and likes to crawl under the coffee table.
To get to me, of course!
She gets upset though because she often can't get herself down.
She cries and cries until you help her. It's pretty cute.
Being held by mama still. A total mama's girl and she's cry and crawl after me.
Eating anything and everything. She isn't picky!
She also likes to drink from her sippy cup all by herself!
Of course she still enjoys nursing a lot. I think for comfort more than anything else!
Playing with toys - and water bottles and wipes. Really whatever she can get her hands on.
Watching daddy play video games as she falls asleep.
Playing peek-a-boo and giggling.
Being outside.

Dislikes:
Being held by anyone other than mama. SO MANY TEARS.
When mom leaves the room.
Being put in her pack'n play for bed time. She knows when I walk down the stairs its time.
Being in her carseat for too long.
When her brother and sister get too rough with her.
She's pretty reasonable and doesn't dislike a ton! I'm thankful for that!

How's she eating?
She still nurses a lot, but eats meals often too!
She has three meals a day plus snacks.
It will be interesting to see how long she nurses.
With Braden he quit nursing at 13 months and Maeva quit at 11 months old.

How's she sleeping?
She sleeps perfectly!
She sleeps through the night. Usually goes to bed around 9 and sleeps until after 8.
Not complaints here when it comes to that!
She usually takes two naps - one in the afternoon and one in the evening.
So thankful for a good sleeping baby!

Other things:
I feel like she's going to walk soon. Probably earlier than the other two did.
She just pulls herself up so well and loves to stand when you hold her hands.
Sometimes she'll just stand up only holding onto one of your hands.
She's chatty too. Sometimes I think she says the word, "hi!"
She also waves, which is about the cutest thing ever!

It's so exciting to watch her grow.
I look forward to seeing her change and grow as she gets older.
It's such a neat thing and she's such a blessing to our family!
Love you baby Sutton!

8 months

Sutton has been in our lives for 8 months.
She's such a dream baby and really I can't imagine life without her.
As we get closer and closer to her first birthday I'm kind of freaking out!
I mean, I know she's only 8 months, but it goes so fast
and I know she'll be one before we know it.
I just hope she's always as sweet.

STATS:
Chunky, that's all I know.
She obviously isn't going hungry ;)

LIKES:
Being mobile. Girl is crawling. Mostly doing the army crawl,
but crawls on her knees sometimes too.
It's crazy to me that's she's already so mobile
because Braden and Maeva didn't crawl this soon.
Getting ahold of my iPhone and chewing on it. Really, chewing on most things.
Still loves being held by mama the most.
Smiling and playing.
Loves to play with her siblings. They make her laugh and it's adorable.
Still loves bath time!

DISLIKES:
When I leave her in the living room and go upstairs for just one second.
She will crawl to the bottom of the steps and cry for me.
Really just doesn't like being left alone.
Being put to bed. She knows when I walk down the stairs she's going in her pack'n play.
She'll start to whimper a bit and then full on cry when she's in there.
Sometimes I let her cry, but most of the time I go get her because she's just too sweet.
Being held by anyone but mom, especially if she can still see mom! ;)
Being held when she's actually tired. She wiggles so much and just wants to be put down.

How's she eating?
She still breastfeeds a lot, but still only on one side. So awkward.
She also has about three solid meals a day.
We do babyled weaning, so she eats what we eat.
She enjoys bread, strawberries, sweet potatoes, plantain chips, and veggie straws.
Whenever she sees the veggie straw bag she starts kicking her legs like crazy.
That tells us she is so happy and excited about eating them.
They are super easy for her to grab and I think she loves that!

How's she sleeping?
She sleeps through the night now that she is away from me in her pack'n play.
The only time she really wakes up is if her teeth are bothering her.
She however, hates being put down for the night and will cry and cry.
She stays up pretty late because of that.
She also usually takes three naps during the day
- one in the morning, afternoon, and evening.
I'm definitely happy with how's she sleeping!

Other things:
She had a little tumble yesterday as you can see by her poor now.
I sat her on our bed, which was a mistake with how much she wiggles and crawls.
She fell off and cried and cried.
Our bed is pretty low to the ground so I am thankful it wasn't too bad.
I'm honestly surprised we made it this far without her getting hurt.
She wasn't upset too long, thankfully!
This girl is pretty much always happy and rarely cries.
She's still such an easy baby and that makes my mama heart so happy!
She also has her first cold, which isn't fun, but it doesn't seem to bother her too much!
She's really snotting, but that's probably part cold and part teething!
Can't believe she already has 4 teeth - the 4th one in came yesterday!
Oh, she  can also sit herself up from being on her belly and back.
Just amazes me!

Everything is happening so fast with this girl.
Bittersweet, I tell ya!

7 months

Sutton turned 7 months old on Saturday! *SOB*
Where is time going? SO FAST. MAKE IT STOP.

 STATS:
I'm not 100% sure on her stats, but I do know she's at least twenty pounds.
The girl is a chunk, but we sure do love it!

LIKES:
Being in her mama's arms.
Laughing with her siblings.
Eating REAL food! We do baby led weaning.
She likes bananas, apple sauce, broccoli, sweet potatoes, chicken, avocado.
She's such a good eater. Still likes her mama's milk a lot!
Trying to move. Yep. that's right, she's moving!
She doesn't crawl yet, but she scoots. It's so cute.
Playing with toys. She likes balls just like her sister and anything that can go in her mouth!
Smiling. Always smiling.
Bath time! And she can sit up all by herself in the tub!

DISLIKES:
Not being held and anyone holding her but her mama.
Being put down to go to sleep.
Teething. Poor baby girl!
Her carseat. She's started trying to get out.
Laying on her back. She dislikes laying down. She rather be sitting up.

How's she eating?
Wonderfully. She doesn't have three meals, but at least one a day.
We're still nursing mostly.
She loves to eat for sure!

How's she sleeping?
She's finally sleeping through the night again.
I was worried she never would again (ok, that's a bit dramatic),
but she has been for a week or so.
We finally decided we needed to move her out of our room.
I think since she knew I was there, she'd wake up crying for me.
She sleeps in her pack 'n play in the playroom and sleeps so good!
She struggles with going to sleep and cries a little, but I don't mind that as much!
I'm just happy she's sleeping!

Other things:
She makes so much nose. Squealing, laughing, talking.
I just love it. She's precious and it makes me so sad how quickly she's growing.
I just wish I could keep her this little for a while longer.

6 months

Yesterday Sutton turned 6 months old!
How does time fly by so fast?
I just don't want to blink because then she'll be one!
I kind of went picture crazy,
but we'll just pretend everybody loves her as much as me
and that you all are okay with it! ;)

STATS:
18lbs/9oz and 25 inches long.
I'm not surprised that she weighs as much as she does.
She's chunky and is hard to carry around, but I'll do it anyway because I love her!

Likes:
Being held. Having something in her mouth always. Rolling onto her belly.
Trying to sit up by herself.
Her stuffed minnie mouse (which I'm pretty sure was her sisters).
Bath time! She gets so happy and practically gives me a bath while I bathe her.
Laughing and smiling. Her siblings. Mommy and daddy, of course!

Dislikes:
Sleeping through the night. Being put down. She's mostly happy though!

How's she eating?
I would say nurses about every 4 hours for maybe twenty minutes.
She wakes up at night to nurse, but not for long.
We've given her some solid food mashed up twice.
We're doing baby led weaning,
so she's had mashed up banana, avocado and some apple sauce.
She's eaten very little of it. Gotten a bit in her mouth,
made funny faces and pushed it right back out.
We will keep on offering it to her and probably try a sippy cup within the next month or so.
I don't want to push too quickly because she's my baby!

How's she sleeping?
Sleeping through the night just doesn't happen.
It's been rough on all of us!
It's been about a month of waking up a few times a night.
I know it's probably just a growth spurt + pattern.
Going to try and work on this too!
We've moved her to her pack'n play from her swing, so that may be part of it to.
The swing stopped swinging and she was really just too chunky anyway!
Whenever she'd sleep in bed with us she just wasn't sleeping that well.
So pack'n play it is!

Other things:
The girl wants to crawl!
She moves backwards, so she definitely gets around.
I can tell she wants to crawl because she kicks her feet like crazy,
 like why aren't these working?
She also kicks her feet when she's excited. It's adorable.
She also likes her feet. Holding onto her toes.
Just waiting for her to put them in her mouth.
So adorable! She still sucks her thumb often, which I am in no rush to stop either!
I figure she won't do it forever and it just calms her.
She laughs a lot now and is smiley most of the time.
Is there anything better than a baby laughing? It's contagious, for sure!
She's sitting up too. She tries to pull herself up when lying down, but that doesn't work yet.
She however can sit up by herself for a bit before falling down.
I just love seeing her chunky little self sitting up. The girl has so many rolls!
=)

...And just for fun let's do a  little comparison of my babies!

Can't tell they are related at all, can ya?
Seriously, makes my heart ache seeing them all so little.
Wish it lasted a bit longer. They are were so cute!

Five months

Sutton's five months old!
CANNOT BELIEVE IT!

STATS: Unsure, but man is she heavy! No doubt in my mind she's grained a pound or two!
I'll know when I have her next appointment and maybe this time I'll actually update this post!

LIKES: Being held all of the time. Rolling over onto her belly and practicing sitting up. Chewing on toys. Snuggling and drinking milk. Smiling and laughing, which is new!
Still loves her thumb so much.

DISLIKES: Being put down. It often makes her cry.
When her siblings are too loud.
At times it makes her jump and cry (I'm sorry, dear girl)!
Being sleepy. Just makes her cry, cry, cry!
That's pretty much it.
She's still the best baby ever, but has been a bit more fussy and upset lately.
I think it's a growth spurt.
It's been hard for me because I'm not used to her crying or fussing as much. I'm also not used to her just wanting to constantly be held. That's okay though because she won't be a baby forever! =(

How's she eating? She's been eating a lot more lately. I think she may be teething just because of faces she makes and the constant chewing on her toys or clothes! She only really nurses on one side. I offer both, but she has prefers one side over the other for sure. She eats more at night, which leads me to...

How's she sleeping?
She's been waking up a lot at night these past few days.
Just wanting to eat a little bit and be held. I think she just wants some mama comfort.
Goodness though, it's making me oh so tired!
I'm sure she'll go back to sleeping through the night soon!

Other things: Girl is a chatter box! She's also making some funny faces, that I'm not to sure about! I think if she's getting teeth, that may explain it. She's still the sweetest thing ever! We are so thankful she's apart of our family! A blessing for sure!
