A list for life

Today I was thinking about my life and how I want it to be. I believe that our lives are what we make it! Life doesn't have to be dull and boring. We don't have to wait for the next thrilling thing to come along! Life can be exciting, life can be fun! It can be lived to the fullest! When I was in college I made this list of things that I wanted to do in my life. They were things such as get married and have a big family. There were even things on there such as write a book and forgive those who have hurt me the most. I've accomplished some of those things and some I haven't. My list has even changed some. There are more things on that list and something are no longer on that list. I am in the process of writing that list all over again...making it brand new because I feel so different from that person, from that list. So I started today.

On that list is new passions, such as
photography. I want to be good at taking photos and capturing moments that are captured in my heart forever. I have a lot to learn and I know I just need to start snapping away.

There is also...
love on this list. I majored in social welfare in college, which was a passion then. It still is, but in a way it isn't. I guess its just different. I will always have compassion for those hurting, but putting myself in the middle of it...seeing it everyday, that would be too much for me. Its too sad. I just want to love people. I'm not always good at it, but I try.

My family is at the top of the list, for sure.
I only hope I can show them how much I love them. I want to love them better.
I want to be a good wife and a good mother.
My husband says I am, but I know I can be better.

God is on that list, of well.
Sometimes it seems that in my relationship with God there are mountains and valleys. I feel sort of in the valley at the moment. Not quiet where I should be. I want more of His word written on my heart. That verse is what I consider to be my life verse. There is so much to worry about, so much to be anxious about. But God takes care of it all! I want to remember that more and go to Him more!

There are also old passions...
Such as reading. I love a good book. I know I need to pick up a book more often, whether it be reading on my own or reading to my son! A book is better than tv, but that seems to be what I turn to more often!

Welp, there you have it, some of my life! I will share more as I come up with things!

And just incase you were wondering what I wore today!
Headband: Gift. Necklace: Jewelry party. Tank: Thrifted. Shirt/dress thing: Rue21. Leggings: Target.

Hope your week started off grand!

  1. I have the same problem with tv too! I have great books sitting by my bed, but I seem to turn to tv more often. I can watch everything online, so its become kind of an addiction. Bad bad. oh well. In some ways I want to enjoy it now, when I have the time for it, but in other ways, i want to enjoy other things since i have the time.

    Love you!
