Favorite Wall Decor

I really want to start sharing more of our home on this space.
Especially when it comes to decor.
I love to decorate. It's one of my favorite things to do
and I really wish I had an unlimited budget when it comes to doing so.
Today I'm sharing three of my favorite wall spaces in our home.
There are more than three, but that could get a bit overwhelming
and these walls are complete, so I thought it'd be a good place to start!

In our bedroom:

Canvas: homegoods
Key and Crown Frames: World Market

I absolutely love this wall!
The canvas is unique and the frames are some of my favorites!
We have wedding photos in them and also photos from when

Living Room

Candle holders, candles and Eiffel Tower: Kirklands

This wall actually may be my favorite in the whole house.
It's right inside our front door and a spot I see daily.
I love that it houses some of my favorite photos

Play Room

Chalkboard: World Market
Art: Braden ;)
Felt Garland: Gracie and Marie
Mason Jar Garland: Paper Porch

I love this wall in our play room because it reminds me daily to have grace.
Am I good at that, not exactly, but the reminder is something I need OFTEN.
Braden loves seeing his art on the wall and the garlands tie it all together.
They are my favorite!

Do you enjoy decorating?
I think walls are my favorite to decorate because you can do so much
plus little hands can't reach the items most of the time.
Just don't look at the part of the walls they can reach
because grubby little hands have left some marks!
That's what makes a house a home though, right? ;)

India Inspired Reading Nook with World Market

Disclosure: I am participating in this campaign as a member
of the World Market Ambassador Program.
I received compensation in the form of gift cards, but all opinions are my own.

In honor of the movie The Second Best Marigold Hotel,
I'm excited to share with you fun way to
bring some beautiful Indian decor into your home!
Something I've always loved is the idea of a reading nook in our home
or a space to escape to journal or nap (because I always want that!).

The World Market India Inspired Reading Nook

For the cozy, reading spot you'll need:

Aren't these items just beautiful?
Looks like the perfect cozy spot to me!
I may have to grab the canopy for sure!

For the table you'll need:

I love having pretty things set out on a table
and I don't believe there's such thing as too many candle or lanterns!
Also, gotta have something to drink while relaxing, so the mug is perfect!

For the wall space you'll need:

I just love the red mirror! Such a beautiful focus piece and definitely speaks India to me!
What pieces are your favorite from the Indian inspired collection at World Market?
It's always hard for me to choose because I just love it all!

This reading nook is inspired by the movie The Second Best Marigold Hotel,
which is out in theaters March 6th!
In the movie an owner of The Marigold Hotel (Sonny), decides when his hotel
gets full decides its a good idea to open another hotel,
but it turns out to be more than he bargained for
(especially with one hotel already and his wedding coming soon).
This is a fun movie that you won't want to miss!
You also don't want to miss the Best Exotic Sweepstakes World Market is hosting now!

Grand Prize Package:
Trip for 2 to India

Today I wanted to share my current World Market wish list and seems like a
good time because I do turn twenty-nine on February 6th ;)

I love anything and all things aqua!
This would be perfect for storing remotes in
or even putting in my sons room to store some of his trains.

2. Aqua glass teapot infuser
I'm really loving tea lately.
It all started with the wonderful tea from the downton abbey tea party
and now I'm loving all sorts of teas.
This is much more fun than just heating up water in the microwave!

3. Wire 3-Tier Glass Drying Rack
I've been eyeing this drying rack for a while now.
If you know me then you know I have a coffee mug obsession.
This would be perfect for displaying some on my coffee bar.

4. Wire Round Kenna Baskets
The instant I saw these I fell in love.
They are sturdy wire baskets and the colors are just beautiful.
Great for laundry or storing whatever my heart may please.
These are definitely a must buy for me!

I didn't think I liked paintings until my husband started wanting some.
Now, apparently I want them all over our home.
I would definitely love to have this one!

You can never have enough blankets, can you?
I just love the black and gray of this throw
and it looks so soft and warm!

It grows pretty constantly!

My family and I definitely enjoyed this and I even got my husband to watch a few episodes!

Isn't this just the most perfect mug?! It's perfect for tea or coffee!
I definitely feel a connection with this quote, especially as a mother!
Weekends just come and go, so quickly! A weekend? What's that?

These scones were so amazing!
I hadn't made scones before, so was a bit nervous that they wouldn't turn out!
They were delicious warm with the Christmas curd on top
and my husband exclaimed, "I haven't had anything like this before!"
Needless to say we gobbled them up rather quickly and wished we'd had more!

I just love how dainty the tea pot, tea cups, and plates look!
I feel so fancy using them, like I'm actually having tea at Downton Abbey!
I would surely love that!
Who you would love to have tea with?
I would love to have tea with Lady Mary or Anna! They are my favorite!

I didn't think I was a fan of tea, but these teas may have changed my mind!
I really love the Downton Christmas Tea because it tastes just like Christmas.
I'm glad I stocked up on these and definitely would like to grab some others
I also like that the characters are on the front - something to collect!

Honestly, I wanted to keep to make this my tea space and keep it set up,
but I knew little hands would grab and break,
but I will be having tea and scones a lot more!
I can't wait to go back to World Market and grab some more scones and teas!

Ten Snack Ideas For Blessing The Needy This Holiday Season

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by World Market
but all thoughts and ideas are my own!

I simply cannot believe how quickly this year has flown by
or the fact that Thanksgiving and Christmas are just right around the corner!
Holidays are the perfect time to do some special for those in need around us.
Today I wanted to share ten snack ideas for blessing the needy this holiday season.
All of the items are perfect for gathering in a gift basket and giving to someone in need!

1. Fiji water.
One can never have enough water, so this a must have!

2. Fruit Spread Sampler.
This sampler comes with four mini jellies:
lingonberry, apricot-peach, strawberry rhubarb, and black cherry.
I think these are great because there is a variety of flavors.
They can also be shared and can be used with other items, such as the following two snacks.

3. Sesame seed crackers
These crackers could easily be a great snack with the jelly on top!
They could even be enjoyed by themselves!

4. Pumpernickel bread.
This bread is a guilt free snack made with whole-grains and a bit of sweetness.
Jelly would also be good along with it.

5. Italian dry sliced salami.
This salami is ready to eat and that's why I love it!
You could easily pair it with the crackers or the bread.
It could also be eaten by itself or enjoyed with multiple other items from World Market!

6. Wild Garden Mini Hummus.
Who doesn't love hummus? It can go with so many things!
It could be used on crackers, bread, with the salami as well.
You could also eat it with chips!

7. Veggie chips.
My kids absolutely love these and I don't mind them
because they are definitely a healthier option when it comes to chips.
These would be great with the hummus or on the side of a pumpernickel sandwich!

8. Nutella and go!
Everybody loves nutella, right?
This is perfect because you have just what you need to enjoy this chocolate snack!

9. Hawaiian Macadamias.
These macadamias are such an easy snack! It couldn't hurt to throw these in a gift basket.

10. Ready-to-drink coffee.
The name says it all, doesn't it? This is perfect incase coffee is needed right away!

I think these snack and drink items are perfect for putting in a gift basket
and giving to someone in need because they are ready to be enjoyed!
What would you put in a gift basket for those in need?

Halloween Candy Crunch + World Market Sweepstakes!

Disclaimer: Thank you World Market for sponsoring today's delicious post!
Today I'm excited to share with you a treat Braden and I made last week.
I love kettle corn - so much so that I eat an entire bag in one sitting, without sharing!
It's my favorite and with all the goodness mixed in, I think my kids love it too!
Braden definitely enjoyed making it and keeps on asking,
"Mommy, we make another treat?"
He really loved shaking the sprinkles all over the place and sneaking bites!

I expected it to be good, but not so good
that I didn't want to share any and that I wanted to eat every last piece ASAP.
It's just the perfect amount of sweet and salty!
So, here's what you'll need (all from World Market
because they have so many yummy treats!)

Halloween Candy Crunch

Spread the kettle corn out on a cookie sheet.
Add as much candy corn as you desire
Crunch up the pretzels (or don't!) and spread them over the kettle corn + candy corn.
Melt the white chocolate and drizzle it over the mixture.
Shake sprinkles over it all.
Mix it up in a cute container like this adorable pumpkin baker!
Then dig in! You can share or you don't have to!

What's a yummy popcorn treat without a movie?
The Book of Life is coming to theaters October 17th and I think it would be a great film
for the whole family (not that I'd ever sneak my own snack into a movie ;).

Book of Life is an animated Romeo and Juliet inspired love story set during a Day of the Dead celebration: Manolo is a young matador who wants to shed the expectations of his family to follow his dreams of being a musician and his best friend, Joaquin, is the successful pride of the town. They compete for the heart of Maria. In order to win Maria's heart and save her life, Manolo must face his greatest fears and follow his heart to rewrite his destiny. It starts the voices of Channing Tatum, Zoe Saldana, Diego Luna, Danny Trejo, and Cheech Marin.

To celebrate the movie, World Market is giving you the chance a trip to Riviera Maya and free movies for a year! The grand prize is a 5 day/6 night, stay at Grand Velas Riviera May, free movies for a year, a $1,000 World Market gift card and Book of Life Merchandise! Three first prize winners will also receive a $50 World Market gift card. I don't know about you, but I would sure be happy to win!

Be sure to enter the sweepstakes here. Ends October 24th.
Don't forget to check out all the Book Of Life merchandise World Market has too!

The Hundred Foot Journey + #gorumentgetaway sweepstakes

Disclosure: Thank you World Market for sponsoring today's post. It's a yummy one!

If you watch any or much tv,
I'm sure you've seen previews for The Hundred Foot Journey
(due to come out August 8th).
It's based on the best-selling novel written by Richard C. Morias
and features the Academy Award winner Helen Mirren.

Haven't heard of the movie? Let me give you a quick overview.
In "The Hundred Foot Journey," Hassan Kadam (Manish Dayal)
is a culinary ingenue with the gastronomic equivalent of perfect pitch.
Displaced from their native India, the Kadam family, led by Papa (Om Puri),
settles in the quaint village of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val in the South of France.
Filled with charm, it is both picturesque and elegant -
the ideal place to settle down and open an Indian restaurant, Maison Mumbai.
That is, until the chilly chef proprietress of Le Saule Pleureur,
a Michelin-starred, classical French restaurant run by
Madame Mallory (Academy Award® - winner Helen Mirren) gets wind of it.

Sounds great, doesn't it?
I look forward to seeing this movie as it looks interesting
and involves Indian & French cooking, which looks delicious,
but not something I would attempt to cook in my own kitchen! ;)

To celebrate the release of this movie World Market
has partnered together with celebrity Chefs Ryan Scott and Aarti Sequeira
They have put together some amazing French and Indian recipes that go great along with the film!

Of course the sweet treats looks the best to me!

Berry-Ricotta Crepe Layered Cake by Chef Ryan Scott.
Seriously, I just love fruit, so this looks delicious to me!

by Chef Artia Sequeira.
Ice cream is one of my favorite things, so this looks delicious!

Want to see more of their recipes?

Spruce up your space for Easter with World Market

I love decorating. I've come to love it even more since we bought our first home.
Once we started decorating it's been super hard to stop.
I just want to decorate and decorate and decorate!
So give me a holiday and I'm all about pulling out decor to pull the holiday into our home.
Today I'm excited to share with you 4 simple ways to decorate your house for Easter.

I don't always feel like I'm great at decorating.
Some times I feel like I have an eye for it,
while other times I feel like I don't have the slightest idea as to what I am doing!
I know I'm not the only one who feels this way,
but I promise you these are so simple that anyone can do it.

1. Flowers

For this look in your home, buy: Vase unavailable online, but check out these vases and these Peony bunches.

For this look in your home, buy: This flower pitcher vase and the same flowers as above.

As far as I'm conceded you can always decorate with flowers.
They can be real or they can be fake, but they just make the space happy!
Sometimes fake is nicer if you're worrying about the flowers dying.
I'm not always the best with keeping things alive, so this was perfect for me.
I adore both these looks because I just think they look amazing.
Especially that bottom vase. The moment I saw it I was swooning.
I knew that it had to come home with me and the vases with the purple flowers?
So much can be done with those, I am sure of it!

2. Easter Eggs

For this look, buy: Two bags of speckled eggseaster grass, and round apothecary vase

This is by far my favorite.
I love every single thing about it.
The shape of the vase is fun and you can keep the lid on it or not.
It just adds a lot more to our table in the living room.
Also, the eggs are so bright that it just screams happy.

3. Candles

Who doesn't love candles?
These are such a pretty shade of blue and they smell great too.
I think it's such a cute idea to have a wreath around a candle.
Just draws you to them more and makes it a bit fancier.
I'm also loving that unity cross behind them.
My grandpa made that for my husband and I for our wedding.
I think it's great because for us, Christ is what Easter is all about.
The candles definitely draw you to it more and I think it looks great!

4. Candy & more.

For this look, buy: This Easter bunny storage jar, which also comes in aquaBunny kitchen towelsJordan Almonds

When all else fails, if you really think you can't decorate go for this!
I fully believe you can use candy and dish towels to decorate. At least I do! ;)
These jars are the perfect size for a bit of candy on the counter
and I love these towels with the polka dots!

There you have it, 4 easy ways you can decorate your home for Easter.
Now, run to World Market for all these items or go shop online!
Don't forget to check out all the other fun things they have for Easter.
Check out the these links below for more Easter goodies!
