Saying "I DO" again!

Our anniversary was on August 7th. We've been married for three years.
This year we decided to say our vows in the Catholic Church,
since we didn't get married in the church before.
I think it was a good reminder to us both, about what marriage really is.
We're to love God and love each other.
Those are the most important things in marriage.
I know I need that reminder a lot because I'm not always good at loving.

Today I wanted to share some of my favorite pictures from that day.
The one above is clearly from the ceremony, which was super simple.
We dressed nicely and had a very small amount of family there.
That was about it. Most of my favorite pictures are after the actual ceremony.

Enjoy! =)

I love having pictures of special moments in our lives.
They are super important to me and I'm thankful for a husband who goes along with it even if it's not something he exactly loves! ;)

Summer has arrived!

I feel like Spring didn't even happen.
Winter left and summer arrived.
It's a bit too hot for my liking, but the kids don't seem to mind.
We've been spending a lot more time outside and that makes everyone more happy!
I'm thankful that my babies love to be outside so much.
It makes me even more excited that soon we will have our own backyard!

Happy Thursday!

Five Months

Hi! I'm 5 months old today!
I'm so big aren't I? I weigh a little over 15 pounds.
Mom and dad say I'm heavy and call me a chunk sometimes.
I know it's all in good fun. They say its better to be chunky.
I'm a happy baby most of the time.
I like to smile and laugh.
And I need to always be able to see someone, whether it's mom, dad or bother...
I just need someone to look at!
I especially like to look at brother. He really makes me smile and laugh!
I really like it when she shares his toys with me. He likes to give me his cars.
I share my vanity with him.
Okay, not really...he takes it away from me and I cry.
Other things that upset me is being really sleepy,
people trying to make me sit up,
and being in the carseat (but I've mentioned this before, so we don't really need to talk about that)!
I still love being held though!
Most of the time I love my bouncy chairs. The one that hangs in the door is pretty fun.
I've been known to fall asleep in them a few times.
I've also been enjoying some new food - bananas and squash, but milk is still my fav.
I've been sleeping pretty well too. Mom loves that!
That's all for now! Later friends!

My Photography Business

A while back I wrote this post about following my dream of becoming a photographer.
I decided that instead of sitting back and thinking, "One day..." I'd just go for it.
I'd make it a reality and I have.
I don't feel comfortable calling myself a professional (yet) because I still have so much to learn.
For now, it's all about gaining experience and falling more in love with it.

Want to check out more of my photos? There's not many as I'm trying to grow it,
But I'd love for you stop by and say hello!
Stop by my facebook page and let me know what you think of Kassie Renae Photography! ;)

Happy Friday!

When you have two little ones

Photobucket

If you'd never one read my blog or didn't know me...
And asked me about myself the first thing I'd tell you is I'm a mom.
It's not exactly the most important thing. That is, I'm a child of God.
There's other things about me too, like I'm married and recently decided I'm going to go for my dream, I'm going to start my own photography business, but first, I'd tell you I'm a mom.
Because that is what I spend most of the time doing, being mom.
No matter where I am, no matter what I'm doing, I'm always mom to my children.
I'd also tell you that being a mom of two - a two year and three month old- is hard.

Photobucket

When you have two littles ones, like I do, lots of days can be hard.
You aim to put all your focus on them.
There's so much that needs your attention.
Diaper changes. Feedings. Baths. Toys. Books. Time outs. Crying.
And if one little one doesn't need or want you, the other one does.
You can lose yourself in those things and me, that's how I've felt lately.
Lost and not myself lately.
Its hard when you don't have very little time for yourself.
You feel a bit like your losing your mind sometimes.

Photobucket

Honestly, I feel like I've lost my mind a bit.
And I want to find it, I want to find me again...
So, that's what I'm trying to do.
Even if that means just putting the babies in the stroller and going for a walk with my camera.
I find myself in those moments.
In those moments my heart is full because not only do I have my babies, but I have myself too.

Headed Towards a Dream

Photobucket

My dream came into light when I had my son, Braden almost two years ago.
I loved taking pictures of him. I wanted to capture every single moment.
I literally have thousands and thousands of photos from when he was a baby.
I realized during that time how much I loved capturing memories.
When he was just a few months old we decided to buy a better camera...
And I've loved the feel of my canon in my hands ever since.

Photobucket

I've dreamed of having a photography business ever since.
Honestly, its something I always thought I'd dream about, but would never happen.
I figured years and years down the road, I'd still be dreaming, but that's changed.
Life is too short to just dream. Its too short to just think about doing something.
You should do what you love and photography is what I love.
I haven't been this passionate about something in a long time, other than motherhood, that is.
Its important to be passionate about something.
For me, especially, there's more to me than motherhood.
I have dreams. I have wishes. I have longings.

Photobucket

I'm no longer just dreaming a dream, but putting my dreams into actions.
This dream fills me with joy and happiness. More than I've felt lately.
All of this feels good, so good.
There's still a lot to put into it. I still have a lot to learn, but experience is the best teacher, isn't it?
I also want to come with a name and a website, both things I'm clueless about.
So, tell me any suggestions, you creative minds?
Any thoughts on a name? And how do you go about setting up a website for your photography?

To you my lovely readers, don't be afraid to go after your dreams.
You can do it!

Newborn photo session

The weekend after Maeva was born we got the chance to take newborn pictures.
The same friend that took our maternity photos also took these.
I'm in love with them and excited to share them with you!
Check out more of her photos - here.
