Maternity session

A few weekends ago we had some family/maternity pictures taken
by a friend of mine from junior high school.
I'm very thankful that I have friends who are talented in this area,
as being able to document our family and capture us well, is important to me.
I'm also thankful that the weather wasn't at its hottest during this session.
There are lots of pictures, but here are a few of my favorite!

^^^My favorite. Such a big boy!^^^

Love these pictures and will cherish the memories for the rest of life.

My weekend

It was a pretty good weekend.
Didn't do a whole lot, but got a few things done at the same time!

I've been itching to get Braden and Maeva's room together. I went shopping BY MYSELF for a few hours & picked up a few things to include in their room. I love this sign for Braden because it is so true! Little boys are loud and dirty! Love him still! Then, I spent a chunk of time in their room after my husband rearranged. There's still a lot to do, but hey, I have 6 weeks until she gets here! =)

Some time in the word. I really do love and appreciate what She Reads Truth is doing in my life! I say that over and over again... but I can't remember the last time I read it on a daily basis! So good - encouraging and often, convicting!

I hit my 33rd week yesterday. I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has flown by. But at the same time I am so ready to have a somewhat normal body back...And to start working out and really aiming for that! :S

Naps always happen.
Braden's been in his big bed for a bit now, but finally figured out how to get out!
He seems to enjoy the floor more. Ends up there...always. With his bear of course!

Family time outside. We haven't been able to go outside really (except for the pool) because it has been insanely hot and I just couldn't do it. When the temperature is 100+ a pregnant lady just can't do it! Braden was happy to be able to run free outside for a bit. We enjoyed it too because it was so much cooler and pleasant! Then, of course, we had to go to sonic and get some ice cream! =)

What did you do over the weekend?
Are your weekends usually full or do you relax?
I think relaxing with my family is the best part.

California vacation

Hello, I'm back from vacation and excited to start blogging again!
I didn't plan on taking a break while vacationing, it just happened.
I'm glad to be home, as traveling with a toddler and pregnant is rather exhausting!
I hope you enjoy the (overload of) pictures and hello to some new followers! =)

The weekend in instagram

1-2: Time at the pool. Braden was a bit unsure about it.
3. Some pretty flowers on the walk back from the pool.
4. Cookin' out at 11:30 pm. It was a long day!
5. Chocolate chip cookies. I'd been craving em!
6. Starbucks because I was exhausted. Does there really need to be a because?
7. Stormy tornado weather. My first time actually seeing a tornado! No thanks!
8. Braden making elephant sounds in the backseat while we drove around.
9. A krispy kreme run even though there were thunderstorms all around.

I just got instagram a week or so ago.
I love it, but I have to be careful that I don't be come obsessed with it and forget to use my other camera.
I can love them both! Want to follow me? My user name is Kassie Rew

Vacation is coming!

In a little over a month my family
and I will be flying to California for a week of glorious vacation.
I will be 27 weeks pregnant
and probably annoy the people next to us by having to get up to use the bathroom so often.
Braden will be 18 months old.
I hope and pray that he handles this trip
much better than the trip to Hawaii when he was 2 months old (what were we thinking?!?).
I cannot wait to go to the beach with my boys.
I know Braden will absolutely love being outside and in the water.
I cannot wait to eat in and out.
This will surely be a high light of our trip and I hope I don't gain a ton of weight from it.
I cannot wait to take some maternity pictures on the beach.
I cannot wait to spend some quality time with my family for a whole week.
It will be amazing and I'm thankful that we're able to take one last trip,
just the three of us, before baby Maeva comes
(which will happen a few months after we come back... oh my goodness!!!).

June 2nd. Come quickly.

Weekends

Weekends are my favorite.
It means more family time.
A lot more lately...
As James has been able to spend more time with us and less time with text books and airplanes.
I like those weekends.

Yesterday, we got to have most of the day, just the two of us.
My mom wanted Braden for a bit and we had a ton of errands to run, which is much easier without a toddler to take in and out of the car.
It was nice to have that time even if it was running errands.
It's nice to enjoy silence sometimes.

After Braden came home we decided it was time for a bike ride.
We hadn't taken him on a bike ride before....because we didn't have the carrier to pull.
It was nice for him.
I think he was a bit freaked out at first.
Soon enough though, he was sitting up and looking all around.
He said, "Ooooooh" a lot, which is so stinkin' cute to me.

I love weekends with my boys,
I love watching Braden enjoy new things.
It's a good life, this one, God gave me.
Thank You, God.
