My least favorite chore + cleaning schedule

As a stay-at-home mom I do a lot.
The truth though? I feel like what I do most is cleaning.
Am I the only mom who feels this way?
I know I could spend my whole day and evening cleaning because I've done it often.
My least favorite thing though? The never ending laundry!

I know I'm not the only mom who hates laundry.
I've seen many complaints and rants on twitter and instagram about it.
I've been one of those mom's dreading it.
I wish we could just have new clothes every single day!
I wish they'd wash, dry, and put themselves away!
Especially the last one.... not sure why that's the hardest part?
Maybe because it's the most work.

Laundry has gotten better since deciding I needed a cleaning schedule.
I'd been coming across many on pinterest, but figured they just wouldn't work for me.
I thought I'd never stay on track and would eventually give up! However, I was wrong!
A cleaning schedule is the best thing I've done for myself as a SAHM and wife!

Its nothing fancy or pretty like the printouts I've come across. Its simple. Its to the point.
There are certain things I do every single day and then I focus on one big thing a day.
I'm not perfect. I do get off track.
Some days I have to spend a good chunk of time cleaning just to get things back in order.
However, a majority of my week isn't spent cleaning the house every single minute!
I love that!

I wouldn't say I have a favorite chore...
because picking up after everyone (myself included), is not my favorite!
But I do love having a clean home!
I believe whole heartedly that it makes everyone less stressed and more happy!

What's your favorite and least favorite chore?

One day as mama

Its inspiration workshop at Gussysews! The prompt was "One day in your life." So, here you go!
Mmmm starbucks, I love you so much. Iced coffee is my fav. By this time I'd already fed my boy, put him back down, and went to the dr. Just drinking my coffee and blogging, while he was sleeping.
Waking up from a nap. "Mom, why do you have that in my face now?"
He got so excited about being in his highchair because....
it meant food. =)
Reaching for the camera. He does that a lot.

Playing with his toys. He does this a lot.
Some mama time. He's distracted by something else.
Fighting nap time. This is a regular occurrence and it is so horrible.
Meeting a puppy, who liked to give him kisses. Braden loved talking to her!

Having coffee (at starbucks again...) with a dear friend. We've know each other since freshman year of college and she's such a good friend! She's been gone for a while, in Canada. So good to catch up! This is the 3rd time she's been around Braden.
This is Braden passed out after not sleeping all day even though he was tired. Sorta my fault. This didn't last long then. Over-tired babies are not fun for anyone!
Daddies home!
Giving our boy rasberries on his belly. He just laughs and laughs. Wonderful sound!
Reading the Bible. Husband is funny.

There you have it. Not everything about the day, but a huge chunk.
