Nine Months

Hi Friends!
I'm nine months old today and growing so quickly.
No one can believe that in a few short months I will be one.
That seems to make everyone so sad. I'm not sure I understand why.
Lots of things have been happening in my life.
Do you know I crawl now? Yep, I'm constantly on the move.
My parents thought it was never going to happen,
But really they just had to wait for me to decide it was time.
I love crawling... so much easier to get what I want and it's just fun!
Oh, I try to stand myself up too. So neat!
You know what also is fun?
Not napping. So fun to fight nap time.
I usually only take one nap a day, but hey, I sleep through the night.
You have to pick and chose your battles mom.
Do you want more sleep at night or chill time during the day?
I mean, think about it mom.
Oh, I also sleep with just my legs swaddled.
I like to be free and to sleep on my belly.
Sometimes in my sleep I hear mama and dada talking about how cute I am.
Speaking of my parents I like to say their names.
I say "dada" a lot and like to be with him more lately.
Mom thinks I'm totally going to be a daddy's girl.
I think she's okay with that.
Hmmmm, what else is there to tell you?
Oh, I eat some baby food, but I also get other good stuff too.
I really like puffs and yogurt bites.
Sometimes I steal mom's food though, like her bagel.
I also had a hot dog the other day.
That's good stuff people!
I also enjoy being outside. We hang out there a lot lately.
It's been hot a lot, but I'm fine by that.
Just sit me on the grass and I'm happy as can be!
I like to eat it though but for some reason that isn't allowed.
I think that's it for now.  See you later!
Love,
Mavey

It's the little things: date night, a new book, and memories

I'm linking up with Lindsay from Aisle to Aloha to share some of the little things that brightened my week!

Husband and I got to go out on a date. We haven't been out on one in about a month, so this was nice. We went to cheddars and it was so good! Whoever decided to put honey dijon on chicken with mushrooms is amazing! Oh, and a jumbo frozen strawberry margarita..my favorite! Sadly, I didn't get a picture of us. The lighting wasn't great, clearly.

I'd been wanting to read The Help, so I borrowed it from my mom. I can tell that I'm really going to enjoy it and when I actually get the time to read, I am sure it will be quickly devoured.

I had a video here instead of a picture, but for some reason it couldn't be viewed (anybody know why?), so heres is a darling picture instead. Watching him with bubbles is so much fun. He closes his eyes right away when they are blown...even though they are nowhere near his eyes. He reaches for them and watches them so well. So curious, he is.

What are the little things this week that made you happy?
Happy Friday!

Watching him play

I love to watch him play.

He's not doing much...
pulling them out of the box,
putting them back,
looking at them,
putting them in his mouth,
but even though those are simple things
he is enjoying himself
and I know his little brain is learning something!

I just love to watch him really.
Watch him discover.
He loves new things and gets so excited.
One of things I can't wait for as a mama is watching him grow in his play.
I look forward to seeing what he chooses to play with,
if he prefers to play more by himself or with others,
how he learns when playing,
seeing him play make believe.

Play, for a child is such a wonderful thing.

Happy Baby

He loves going upside down and once you do it, you have to keep on doing.
Silly boy...the things he loves to do!

It's the little things: Old Settlers, Baby standing, and Lost

I'm linking up with Lindsay from Aisle to Aloha today sharing some of the little things that have made this past week a good one! Sometimes in life there aren't big, great things going on everyday. Sometimes there are just small things that make a day great. Here are a few from my week.
Last weekend was Old Settlers. Its a fair in town. My husband, little boy, and I watched the parade, walked around the fair, and of course got kettle corn! I love kettle corn! Once I start eating it I just can't stop! Good thing I only get it at fairs! =)
Early this week my little one decided he wanted to start pulling himself up. He does this on boxes, the side of the bed, and in the fridge! I need to post a video of him in the fridge...so funny! I was going to post the video today, but its blurry, so I need to capture it again!
We moved...a few months ago and lots of our stuff has remained in boxes. I went through the boxes yesterday and came across LOST. My husband and I love this show...its so amazing. We'd been wanting to watch it again, so last night we started season 1! As it began I shouted, "Jack, Hurley, Claire...I've missed you!" I know that sounds crazy, but watch the show and you will understand...

Theres a few good things about my week! What about yours? An little things that brightened your week?

9 months old

Hi, today I am 9 months old. Mama and dada can't believe it.
They think I'm growing way too fast!
I do new things all the time.
I crawl...mostly. I don't take off or anything, but I can get around.
I like toys. I especially like my firetruck. I also like to bang on the computer, but mommy and daddy don't let me because they don't want me to break it.
I like to sit up, be held, and to try to stand.
I also like animals. I get really excited when I see them and try to talk to them.
I make lots of noises, including a huffing sound. Mom doesn't really know how to describe it.
I like paper and trying to put it in my mouth.
I just like having things in my hands really.
I like to play with daddy. He makes me giggle.
I just like to laugh in general.
I'm a pretty happy, content baby.
Especially when I'm outside...I just love it. There is so much to look at in the world!
I like to eat too, lets not forget that!

I have my 9 month appointment on Friday. How much do you think I weigh?
Mama and dada think A LOT. We will see!
