A little peak inside our home + World Market Spruce Up Your Space Giveaway

World Market always has the best giveaways
and there most recent one isn't any different! 

A few months ago we moved into our first home. 

Most of the unpacking and organizing is done. 

However, decorating is still something that needs to happen. 

I love to decorate, but don't want to just throw things up on the wall. 

I want to take my time. I want our home to reflect us.

World Market's giveaway of a chance to chance to win $5,000 to spruce up my space, would definitely help! It would be such an amazing giveaway to win because they have so many beautiful things I'd love to have in our home.

Today, I want to share with you the space I'd spruce up if I won this awesome giveaway.

Our living room is in desperate need of some sprucing up. 

I can't call it a makeover really, because there's not a whole lot to it. 

That's the thing about moving from a tiny apartment to a bigger home; you don't always have every single thing you want to fill it.

I'm okay with that, it means more shopping! ;)

Our living room: 

Currently, we have a couch, a couple tables, and a few things on the wall. 

It's pretty bare and doesn't feel all that homey. 

This is the first room you see when entering our home.

I want it to be more welcoming to others when they come into our home,
but I also want us to be a room we enjoy spending time in.

and I believe they would make our living room more cozy.
I love our home to feel like home and to me, that means cozy.

That papasan is a must for our living room along with some new pillows. 

That decorative ladder is also something I might just need to get. 

I actually ran to World Market and bought a few things already in our living room.

The farmhouse chalkboard, amber velvet throw pillows, and lights behind the couch were just needed!

Our Home

Just last week I wrote about how we were officially going to start looking for a home.
Little did we know that it would happen in a blink of an eye,
But we couldn't be more excited.
This home is great for us and cannot wait to be out of our apartment...
And into our OWN home!

It's perfect for us.
We're looking forward to more space and a backyard for the kids to play in.
That's what I'm most excited about! And decorating, of course!

My mind and heart are full right now.
This is just what we need right now.
We are so thankful that we are able to do this.
There's a lot to do before moving, which is fine because we have over a month.
I'm trying to be patient (which I'm awful at)...
But cleaning/packing/sorting through things, will help.
I'm also thinking a lot about decorating and am pretty excited about that!

So, that's part of the reason I haven't blogged.
We've been busy and I just haven't felt like being on the internet lately.
I take that as a good thing because sometimes I'm online way too much!
