Weekends

Weekends are my favorite.
It means more family time.
A lot more lately...
As James has been able to spend more time with us and less time with text books and airplanes.
I like those weekends.

Yesterday, we got to have most of the day, just the two of us.
My mom wanted Braden for a bit and we had a ton of errands to run, which is much easier without a toddler to take in and out of the car.
It was nice to have that time even if it was running errands.
It's nice to enjoy silence sometimes.

After Braden came home we decided it was time for a bike ride.
We hadn't taken him on a bike ride before....because we didn't have the carrier to pull.
It was nice for him.
I think he was a bit freaked out at first.
Soon enough though, he was sitting up and looking all around.
He said, "Ooooooh" a lot, which is so stinkin' cute to me.

I love weekends with my boys,
I love watching Braden enjoy new things.
It's a good life, this one, God gave me.
Thank You, God.

My heart melted

Because watching this was the most precious moment of the day...maybe even the most precious moment of my mothering life.

Thank You God for both these boys.

I love them dearly.

I love You even more for giving them to me.

How hard is it to be thankful in everything, all the time? So hard! We live in a world thats always in a rush and always has something to complain about! I know I am in a rush often and I definitely complain a whole lot more than I give thanks! Its not easy to be thankful, especially when things aren't going your way, but at least I am alive and breathing. I mean, that in itself, is enough to be thankful for because life means so much! 

I want to give thanks more. I want to have a thankful heart. 

Today I am thankful for...

- A happy baby boy who laughs and smiles. He's such a joy!
- I am thankful for a wonderful husband who works his tail off in this heat! He works so hard, for us. That's amazing!
- Grandparents who are always willing to watch their grand-baby.

- A cold drink especially water because hey, we have it!

- A roof over my head.

- Clothes that fit even if they don't fit the way I want them to!

- The evenings being cooler than the days.

- God. I am always thankful for the one who created me because without Him I'd have no reason to be thankful!
