My Coffee Bar

Disclaimer: I was giving the Keurig 2.0 complimentary of Influenster
for testing purposes, but my love and obsession are all my own!

If you know me at all you know I absolutely love coffee.
It didn't always used to be the case,
but then I had babies and I was like, "give me ALL the coffee!"
Our coffee bar used to be all cluttered up with an espresso machine, grinder, french press,
but thanks to the whole30 and the Keurig that is no more.
I also thank those two things for breaking my Starbucks addiction!
My husband drinks cold brew, but I'm all about my beloved Keurig!
This space in our kitchen is definitely a favorite of mine
because it keeps me going + it's adorable!

Jesus and Coffee sign: Edolette
Gumball Cookie Jar & Owl Cups: World Market
Drink More Coffee sign: Kirklands

I just love every little thing about this space.
I had this cookie jar sitting empty for a while and it's perfect for my k-cups.
Also, I'm obsessed with owls, so those cups are simply perfect.
The Jesus and Coffee sign is a good reminder to me every time I see it!
Now, onto the most important part of the coffee bar....the Keurig 2.0!

I'm absolutely in love with my Keurig 2.0!
I had been wanting one for a while now, but didn't want to spend the money.
Plus I wasn't sure that it would be worth it, but let me tell you I am convinced it is.
I was so excited when I got the email from influenster to test it out.
I definitely did a happy dance and used this baby right away when it arrived.
It's definitely worth the money and gets used every single day.

What do I love about it?
I love that it's simple and easy to use.
I always worry that things about going to be complicated, but this is not!
I love that you can make a single cup or a a whole carafe of coffee.
I love that I can set it up for my coffee to be made and ready when I wake, if I want!
I love that there's a clock so I can see the time.
I love that I can change the wallpaper on the screen or change the color of the water filter.
Really, I cannot just complain about it.
I mean, it makes me this deliciousness....

I highly suggest investing in the Keurig 2.0 - it's my favorite!
I do wish they made the carafe k-cups with hazelnut because it is my favorite,
but maybe eventually they will come out with it.
For now, I just make a few hazelnut iced coffees a day!

Do you own a Keurig?
Do you love it as much as I love mine?
What's your favorite way to make your coffee?

And I'm off to make another hazelnut iced coffee!

My Guilty Pleasure

Did you know that I used to hate coffee?
I seriously thought it was the nastiest thing ever and refused to drink it.
Even when James and I were dating and I had my first taste of an iced mocha
from Starbucks I thought it was disgusting (I still think mochas are gross btw).
But now, I love coffee. Actually, I should say I love iced white mochas from Starbucks.

I'm sure if you follow me on twitter, instagram or facebook you notice I like Starbucks.
Even if you glance around my blog you can probably tell I have a coffee addiction.
I wish I didn't though.
I wish I was still the same old Kassie who thought coffee was gross.
Why you ask? Because it's a serious problem for me.
I like iced white mochas from bux so much that its the only coffee I want.
Iced white mochas are my guilty pleasure, but I indulge far too often.
We're talking like some weeks I have it everyday.
There are been days where I've had it multiple times a day.
I say that's a problem because more often than not I feel less pleasure and more guilt.
Those grandes or ventis cost way too much
and all that money spent makes my stomach hurt.
I don't like feeling guilty over things. It's a yucky feeling!
I especially don't like feeling guilty over spending money on coffee! Or anything, for that matter!

Does anyone else have this problem?
An addiction to something that seems real silly, but is a real problem?
It's embarrsassing to admit how much I go to Starbucks.
I really want to break this habit, but goodness it is so hard.
I feel like I can't make it through the day without coffee
and know I should spend some more time with my espresso machine, but Starbucks just taste SO good!

Thoughts? Tips? Suggestions?

My version of an iced mocha

I love coffee. I didn't used to.
I actually used to think it was the most disgusting thing ever, but then I had a baby... =)
My husband and I used to go to Starbucks everyday and well, you know that can kind of hurt kill a persons budget, so we decided we needed to make a better choice. We invested in a expresso machine, which has been an absolute money saver! So, today, I'm linking up with Gussy sews and sharing my favorite recipe with you. I have many, but considering I haven't made anything lately, this is what you get!

What you will need: Expresso coffee. Ice. Milk. Chocolate syrup.

Directions:
I'm assuming that if you have an expresso machine, you know how to use it, so express the coffee ;)

Then, pour the expresso over the ice.

Add some milk.

Add some syrup.

Stir and enjoy.

Easy huh?

If your like me, you drink it down and do it all over again!

One day as mama

Its inspiration workshop at Gussysews! The prompt was "One day in your life." So, here you go!
Mmmm starbucks, I love you so much. Iced coffee is my fav. By this time I'd already fed my boy, put him back down, and went to the dr. Just drinking my coffee and blogging, while he was sleeping.
Waking up from a nap. "Mom, why do you have that in my face now?"
He got so excited about being in his highchair because....
it meant food. =)
Reaching for the camera. He does that a lot.

Playing with his toys. He does this a lot.
Some mama time. He's distracted by something else.
Fighting nap time. This is a regular occurrence and it is so horrible.
Meeting a puppy, who liked to give him kisses. Braden loved talking to her!

Having coffee (at starbucks again...) with a dear friend. We've know each other since freshman year of college and she's such a good friend! She's been gone for a while, in Canada. So good to catch up! This is the 3rd time she's been around Braden.
This is Braden passed out after not sleeping all day even though he was tired. Sorta my fault. This didn't last long then. Over-tired babies are not fun for anyone!
Daddies home!
Giving our boy rasberries on his belly. He just laughs and laughs. Wonderful sound!
Reading the Bible. Husband is funny.

There you have it. Not everything about the day, but a huge chunk.
